Digital Learning Platform

IBM Training processes Personal Information (PI) for the administration of your course registration, to provide you with access to the course materials and support during your use of our digital course materials.
In addition, IBM Training tracks your use of the services in connection with enrollment support results and completion information in connection with providing you with digital credentials and where applicable to inform your organization about your progress.
IBM Training also collects information about your use of the services and the platform in order to improve its functionality and user friendliness and maintain and provide you with features and functions that enhance the learning experience.

We request your contact details, email address and where applicable the organization you work for, in the registration form. These are used for our administration, to give you access to the services, to identify where applicable your organization in the event your participation in courses is organized by your organization, or in scope of a contract with that organization. We will use your email address to contact you in connection with support or any administrative issues.

We track your results and completion to be able to provide you with your course credentials.

We use aggregate information such as number of students, unique visits to sites and patterns of usage to improve content and usability.
We collect progress reports limited to IBM’s internal brands to understand consumption of their content. Any data contained in these reports is not viewable outside of IBM.

For IBM Employees, results and course completion are shared with IBM’s skills and training applications, which may be used for IBM’s skill tooling and programs. For IBM education programs, course completion is shared with your manager and your direct management may request progress reports about your Digital Learning enrollments and progress from IBM Training and Skills. For employees of IBM Business Partners, Reports about training enrollment, progress and completion is reported to the Partner Plus Ecosystem in relation to compliance with the initiative requirements for programs such as Know Your IBM (KYI) and Partner Plus Ecosystem metrics.
Business Partners completing Integrity Training: IBM will send communications to the registered individuals about training requirements.

The Partner Plus Ecosystem team may contact you to ask you to participate in a survey to measure the experience on our website.

Enterprise subscription users: When you enable the Enrollment Access Key provided by your employer, they can request progress reports for the use of the Enrollment Access Key to view the courses in which you have enrolled and completed.

For persons following any other program, initiated and organized by their organization, we may also provide reports to their organization as agreed with that organization. Persons participating in such programs should contact their organization in order to provide them with information about such reporting.

IBM may share the personal information collected with IBM subsidiaries and third parties globally.

To provide IBM Digital Credentials - IBM Training and Skills offer self-paced virtual classroom, web-based training courses, and quizzes that may qualify for an IBM Digital Badge.

IBM Training offers courses and quizzes that may qualify for an IBM Digital Badge.
IBM leverages the services of Credly, a 3rd party data processor authorized by IBM and located in the United States, to assist in the administration of the IBM Digital Badge program. In order to issue you an IBM Digital Badge, your personal information (name, email address, and badge earned) will be shared with Credly. You will receive an email notification from Credly with instructions for claiming the badge. Your personal information is used to issue your badge and for program reporting and operational purposes. IBM may share the personal information collected with IBM subsidiaries and third parties globally. It will be handled in a manner consistent with IBM privacy practices.

Retention of Personal Information (PI)

All PI is held by IBM Training for ten (10) years (name, email address, completion records, mail correspondence), in line with IBM retention policies.

All PI is held by IBM Training within IBM Cloud locations within the United States.

IBM Training will qualify the feedback to display on our aggregated reports. All course content surveys will be reviewed at the student group level (customer, business partner, employee).

IBM Training will only send e-mail notifications to you only when you subscribe to a course forum or select to be informed about training courses that may be of interest to you. You can choose to unsubscribe at any time.

If you want to access, delete or correct the PI being processed by IBM Training and Skills, please submit a request to our Support via https://ibmcpsprod.service-now.com/its with the subject line Data Data Subject Request.
